  • ACLS Full Certification is offered as a 2-part course.

Part 1 The first part of the course is HeartCode® ACLS Part 1.  HeartCode® ACLS is a Web-based, self-paced course that uses eSimulation technology to lead participants to assess and treat patients in virtual healthcare settings. In this environment, participants apply their knowledge to real-time decision making and skills development. This course debriefs and coaches’ skills after each simulation to facilitate better knowledge. Learners complete self-assessments and lessons that include team dynamics, in-hospital patient cases, and megacode cases.

Learners are issued a key code (access code) from the American Heart Association (AHA). Learners will access the course using the key and complete the online portion of the course.

Participants must print the course completion certificate and maintain a copy for admission to PART 2 of the course.

Part 2 The second part of the Full Certification courses is a full day advanced course that highlights the importance of team dynamics and communication, systems of care and immediate post-cardiac-arrest care. It also covers airway management and related pharmacology. Part 1 content is reviewed and skills are taught in group sessions where case-based scenarios are presented. Course participants are required to practice on a manikin and successfully challenge a megacode testing session.
