  • ACLS Re-certification is offered as a 2-part course.

    Part 1

The first part of the course is HeartCode® ACLS Part 1.  HeartCode® ACLS is a Web-based, self-paced course that uses eSimulation Technology to lead participants to assess and treat patients in virtual healthcare settings. In this environment, participants apply their knowledge to real-time decision making and skills development. This course debriefs and coaches’ skills after each simulation to facilitate better knowledge.  Learners complete self-assessments and lessons that include team dynamics, in-hospital patient cases, and megacode cases.

Learners are provided with online access from the American Heart Association (AHA). Learners will access the course using the key and complete the online portion of the course.

Participants must print the course completion certificate and maintain a copy for admission to PART 2 of the course.

    PART 2

The Second part of the Re-certification courses requires the participant to practice on a manikin and includes a megacode testing session.

The second part of the course will take place in the Simulation Center.

Each participant must bring the completion certificate from Part 1 of the course for admission to PART 2.
